Lorenzo is a young photographer whose black and white pictures show representative images of his region, the Marche.
He joined my project giving me some important photos that we used to create exclusive and particular t-shirts.
He was born in Senigallia where he still lives.
In 1991 he started his research on black and white photo. In 1999 he won first prize in the Canon competition. Since January 2000 he is one of the photographers of Contrasto agency. His research develops and draws influences mostly looking at human and landscape realities of Marche region. Monthly ARTE magazine includes him among the 10 young talents of Italian photography scene. His works are awarded in numerous competitions (Verona Award 2002 etc. ..), published by the major Italian and foreign newspapers (Images, Newsweek) and exhibited in two solo exhibitions at Galerie Treffpunkt in Stuttgart t and at Ulm’ Stadthaus. In 2003 he made his directorial debut with the film “Prova a volare” (“Try to fly”) ” which has among the performers newcomer Riccardo Scamarcio, Ennio Fantastichini and Antonio Catania, distributed in 180 copies in September. 2007 by Istituto Luce, still programming on Sky cinema and on LA7, which devoted an episode of the show “La valigia dei sogni” (“The suitcase of dreams”).
Since 2006, some of his prints are part of Form collection, a prestigious foundation for photography in Milan. In 2007 he was awarded in the “sports features singles” at the World Press Photo in Amsterdam, with a work on young players in China.
The series of “Gli Alberini” is captured in the collection of the UBS bank.
In the summer of 2011 he exhibited at Mole Vanvitelliana of Ancona with 3 works for the Biennale di Venezia “Marche” pavilion , curated by Vittorio Sgarbi and at Portfolio Gallery “10 pensieri su Mario Giacomelli”
In 2012 he worked for the project Altagamma “Italian Contemporary Essence” with the most important companies such as Alessi, Boffi, Luxottica, Zanotta Tod’s, Persol etc. … exposed to TRIENNALE of Milan and book published by Rizzoli International.
He has exhibited at the Venice Foundation 2000 together with the most renowned masters of Italian photography.
He is currently preparing the shots to be exhibited at the Ferragamo Museum for the exhibition “Il calzolaio prodigioso” (“The prodigious shoemaker”).
