Sorry, nothing in cart.
I met Cristina in the same studio of her husband, the photographer Francesco Radino, in which she works with colours, as well as black and white and in a different way of interpreting the photo shoot. In her works I found a very peculiar characteristic, her photos show almost a poetic finesse which makes her works different from her colleagues. She accepted to take part to the Itart project with enthusiasm, offering me one of her most significant photo: New York 1995, taken from the Twin Towers.
Born in Milan, where she lives and works. She approached to picture after numerous experiences of study and work that led to live for long periods in England and the United States.
Privileged fields of her work have always been the social survey, the portrait and landscape. She investigated and documented for years the problems of migrants women and children, living in Western society, a topic on which she has published several books, as well as part of the experimental work is published on the image and memory of the landscape, made with a camera system that sum and overlapping fragments of space, going beyond the usual static representation.
She has worked for many years with the Archives of Communication and Image for Ethnography and Social History of the Lombardy Region, for which she made several photographic projects on youth, on the border workers and some jobs that are disappearing.
In 1998 she participated as an artist teacher at “Learning Through Art” of the museum
Solomom R. Guggenheim Museum in New York.
